The Grand Family Tree

Thirteen houses. One very tangled tree.

Eight furry houses descend from a species or a founding base. Five Booth houses descend from a shop, and their daughters wear one another’s clothes. A few makers married into more than one family, and the lines cross.

The Grand Family Tree of Avatar Bases

Read it from the top. Each house begins with its founder: a species design (green), a shop or a designer (brown), or a founding base (red). Below come the bases that descend from it, and below those, edits of the bases (cream). A solid line is a documented descent; a dashed one, a base inspired by the design; a dotted one with a question mark, a descent the records suggest but don’t state.

A gold bar joins sisters who share one body, which means their clothes fit each other. A marching gold line is a marriage: one maker working in two houses. Ratings come from Gumroad, and “fitted” counts the Booth items made for that body, both as of 23 October 2026. They will have grown by the time you read this. Families do.

A large family tree on parchment with thirteen houses. House Primagen: Primagen, the closed species, to Protogen, the open one, to the NKD, Zab and Jinxed Protogen bases. House Rexouium: Rexouium to Rexouium Evolved and EvoRex HD by Tosca, Rezuium by Hirozu, Kitrium, and, probably, Pooltoy Rexouium. House Nardoragon: Nardoragon to Nardovern and Nardobat by Morghus, with Robo Nardoragon and an Aeyon Systems construct inspired by it. House Wickerbeast: the species to Zab's first base and Jin A's Wickerbeast King, which leads to Robo Wickerbeast. House Synth: the open species to three bases, one of which was edited into Framework. House Avali: the species to Av-Eli, Ori'Vali and, probably, Kita'vali. Bestboi and Dutch Angel Dragon both lead to the Bestboi Dutchie. House Sergal: the species to Skadi Sergal and an Aeyon construct. Booth houses: STUDIO JINGO's five daughters, Imeris to Kumari; Ponderogen's Kikyo and Shinano; komado's six, four of them sharing one body; IKUSIA's Mizuki, Rurune and Kaguya on one body; and Arisaka Mito's Mafuyu and Cian on one body across two shops. Gold lines link the makers Zab, Drakious, Aeyon Systems and Toasty_Sheeb across houses.

How avatar families grow

Pattern 01 · Species houses

The design comes first

Protogen, Wickerbeast, Synth, Avali, Sergal and the Dutch Angel Dragon were species before they were avatars. Many makers each build their own base of the same species, sometimes with permission, sometimes paying a royalty, once while stating plainly that they are not affiliated.

Pattern 02 · Base houses

One base, many edits

Rexouium and Nardoragon are bases that became families. Their descendants are edits: new wings, new legs, a robot shell, a pool toy. Many edits need the original to work, so the parent sells a copy every time a child does.

Pattern 03 · Booth houses

Sisters who share a body

A Booth shop releases a daughter a year. When two share a body, every outfit made for one fits the other, and the wardrobe of the whole family grows at once. Third-party tools exist solely to pass clothes between sisters.
